Welcome to all

I am Dr. Sibsankar Jana, Assistant Professor, Department of Library & Information Science, University of Kalyani, Nadia, West Bengal, India, heartily welcome you all for accessing my website.  I have passed MLIS from Jadavpur University in 2001 and received Gold Medal for standing first in the merit list. Later I have completed Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Library Management under the Dept. of Lib. & Inf Sc, Jadavpur University in 2007,  having first in the merit list. Apart from the qualifications in Library and Information Science field I have completed M.Sc (Geology) from Presidency College and stood first class second. I have also passed Diploma in Personal Management, Industrial Relation and Labour Welfare from SLI, W.B. Govt. I have also quailed NET from UGC in 2006. I have awarded Ph.D. degree in 2012 under the guidance of Prof. K.P.Mazumder, Jadavpur University. I have already gathered lots of experiences in library and teaching profession.

My publications include a good number of articles on the field of traditional and digital library environment published in scholarly journals, edited books and conference proceedings. I am in the reviewer panel and editorial board in Indian Journal of Library and Information Science (ISSN: 09739548).

I am a life member of BLA, ILA and IASLIC.
